Dear Dr. Xander,

How much the cost for NGV installation for new proton saga BLM?
Not recommended as you will lose your warranty with Proton

I’ve been informed previously that the tank is too heavy. Please give me the details.
Steel tank 60L equals to 68kg.

The installation will takes how many days?
3-4 days for sequential

Will NGV installation affect my engine performance & maintenances?
You should have problem with your VALVE later on as in all campro engine.

[...] Many people started to switch to NGV but have to sacrifice the boot. Or else wait for Proton NGV direct from factory but maybe not Proton Saga BLM. [...]

I’ve ride on NGV car , well it seems the claims is true. a reduce power during accelerations. More info CarStandard.com .

    NGV kits for BLM:-

    1) The tank is relatively heavy and the entire system will add another 70kg onto your car.
    2) NGV has higher octane number (>104) but slighly lower energy density. So although with no knocking at higher compression, under normal engine 10:1 you will lose about 8%-15% power.
    3) The 1.3 engine, if derated with extra weight, and less power, will not be suitable for a direct NGV conversion. The taxi version uses the 1.6l engine.
    4) With ave 16,000km per anum mileage, and RM3-4K per conversion, it will take SEVEN years to pay back your NGV investment.
    5) Your car comes with Fly-By Wire throttle control and a variable intake IAFM system operated by vacuum. retrofitting a NGV mixer and the lower power per throttle travel will mess with your car engine feel and rubbish your auto transmission shift point.

Think carefully before you invest. You have been warned.
